ENDORSEMENTS

  We are delighted to announce that retiring Circuit Judge John Jude has announced that he is supporting Racine Municipal Judge Mark Nielsen to succeed him in the April election.  Judge Jude has served with distinction for two terms as Circuit Court Judge and is well known for his work on community causes. 

Judge Tim Boyle has endorsed Mark Nielsen for Circuit Court Judge.  Boyle of Burlington has been a Circuit Judge since 2012.  Mark said: “I am particularly honored to have Judge Boyle’s support, since I know how well respected his opinion is among the citizens and attorneys in Burlington and Western Racine County.”

Judge David Paulson is publicly endorsing the candidacy of Racine Judge Mark Nielsen for circuit court judge.   Paulson, Judge of Branch Six, previously served as the Mount Pleasant Municipal Judge  for many years.  

 


“We strongly urge the citizens of Racine to elect  Mark Nielsen to Racine Circuit Court Branch 4.  Branch 4 will be assigned to handle the most significant of criminal matters - felonies.

County Executive Jonathan Delagrave has announced his support for Mark.

“Mark Nielsen is recognized as an excellent attorney, a solid judge and he will make an excellent addition to our strong Racine County judiciary.”

                     Judge Faye Flancher is the most recent judge                     to announce her support for Mark.

“I am very pleased that Mark Nielsen will join the Racine County bench.  I have known Mark Nielsen formany years as a friend, honest advocate, teacher of law and pillar of the legal community.  He will be an invaluable addition to the Racine County Judiciary.”  

 “I endorse Mark Nielsen for Circuit Court Judge.   Over many years Mark Nielsen as an attorney has demonstrated seriousness, diligence and honesty in dealing with criminal matters.  I have found him worthy of the trust and respect that we require of a judge.”

Mark Nielsen has been endorsed by Judge Charles Constantine in the race for Circuit Court Branch Four.  “I am particularly pleased and honored by the support of Charles Constantine.  I have known him since we were fellow students.  His father was my father’s friend.  He has been a fine attorney, a pillar of the community and a compassionate and wise judge.” Judge Constantine is one of the current generation of a family that has served Racine in law and politics continuously since the 1950s, and is well known for his work in the community.  

Chief Judge Allan Torhorst has announced his endorsement of Mark Nielsen’s candidacy for Circuit Court Branch Four.  

 

Judge Torhorst, of Burlington and a judge since 1991, joins seven of the ten sitting Racine Circuit Court Judges in supporting Nielsen to replace Judge John Jude on the Racine County bench.

 

  “I believe that Mark Nielsen will be a strong addition to an already strong group of judges serving the people of Racine County.  It is important that we select able, experienced attorneys to preside in our courts.  I am confident that, in promoting Municipal Judge Nielsen, we will continue our tradition of independent, able and serious minded jurists for Racine County.’
